Coroner says miners death avoidable

THE final hours of the two men died as the miners were caught in the mine’s huge blast.

Hazrat Sultana, 51, was at work when he was hit in the stomach and the chest and was left in an unconscious condition, the inquest heard.

He was taken to hospital after the incident but died shortly before 2pm on Thursday.

But Bekmambir, 41, who had never worked in a mine before, was brought to the fire station at 11pm and later died.
